Captain’s Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily vessel operations.

• Ensure full compliance with company ABC policy throughout ships business activities.

• Ensure that all operations are aligned with the company policies

• Ensure that all passengers are treated with respect and friendliness.

• Ensuring that all vessels fulfil all National, International, Industry and Company requirements and standards

• Encouraging awareness and compliance by all personnel of our customer centric operation

• Training of your crew

• Encourage team work to improve rural water transport on Lake Victoria.

• Be accountable for vessel expenses

• Ensure that the cash handling procedures are implemented on board;

• Ensure the vessels are operated in a seaworthy condition

• Ensure that any deficiency is immediately rectified.

• Comply with the Manual of Permitted Operations

• Provide performance reports of each crewmembers and identify training needs

• Monitor vessel fuel consumption and conduct ad-hoc inspections.

• Conduct monthly vessel and landing place inspections.

• Lead daily safety meetings and execute safety drills.

• Establishing good relations with stakeholders and passengers

• Induction and Training of new vessel crew.
